Welcome to our home away from home. Many of the ladies from the Military Wives board and Dating a Military Man board on ivillage wanted to get together and give something back to the board that the ladies have given to them. To some this really IS their home away from home. They go to celebrate, vent, meet new people, and just have a place to go to when they need someone to listen and/or talk to.

Are you perplexed by some of the abbreviations you see us use on the message board or chat room? Well, here are some of the most common:
n/t, nt = no text in the body of the message
m = more in the body of the message
SAHM = stay at home mom
WAHM = work at home mom
LOL = laughing out loud
ROFL = rolling on the floor laughing
DH/DD/DS/DF/DB = Darling husband/daughter/son/fiance/boyfriend
SD/SS = step son/daughter
MIL = mother in law
BTW = by the way
BTDT = been there done that
AFK = away from keyboard
BRB = be right back
MIA = missing in action
